Mammals
Some of the carnivores mammals residing at the Panna National Park are Royal Bengal tiger (panthera tigris tigris), Leopard (panthera pardus), Wild dog (cuon alpinus), wolf, Hyena, smaller cats. In the rocky areas and caves one can find the sloth bear. Deers of various species including the largest Indian variety –Sambar along with chital and chowsinga are also found. In the outskirts of the forest and the grasslands you can spot the nilgai and the chinkara.
Birds
About 200 species of birds are known to flock the horizon of the Panna National Park. Among them the most commonly seen are, Honey buzzard, Bar-headed stork, White-necked stork, King vulture, Blossom-headed parakeet, Paradise flycatcher, Slaty-headed Scimitar, Babbler and many more.
Reptiles
Quite a few varieties of snake including the python roam the grounds at Panna. Apart from that the Long-snouted crocodile (gharial in Hindi) and the Marsh crocodile are found in the waters of the Ken river.
