Welcome to Pench Wildlife Sanctuary, the 19th Tiger Reserve of the country situated at a distance of 93 kms from Nagpur. The Park with its commitment towards the conservation of Tigers is most famous for its Leopard and Tiger tours.

Once the tourists are done with their rendezvous with the wild, they can visit a number of places of interest in and around the Park, some of which are listed below:

Sitaghat:

A breathtaking spot right in the vicinity of the Park, seems like a picture perfect painting with a serpentine path slithering up to the bank of the river Pench landscaped with rocks and picturesque trees. It is a nice spot for wildlife viewing as well, but requires a lot of perseverance as the wildlife on sensing human presence might shy away. However, such is not the case with birdwatchers that come out here equipped with their binoculars to watch the water birds inhabiting this region.

Alikatta:

The epicenter of the Park, Alikatta is a low-lying grassland area, which becomes the central water pool once filled with monsoon showers. A hotbed of wildlife activity especially with grazing herds of thousands of spotted deer- the favorite meal of the predators. Tourists can also enjoy elephant rides, which commence from this spot.

Chhindimatta Road:

A bifurcation of this road leads right up to the huge Pench reservoir. If lucky, on a rocky hike up the road, you can encounter a leopard on the cliffs adjacent to the track or spot Buzzards, eagles and hawks.

Bodhanala range:

The varied physiography of this area ranging from slopy hills, to bamboo forest and a large pond makes it a must see place while at Pench Park. This is an excellent spot for bird watching.

Raiyakassa:

The bird’s eye view of the Pench River from the watchtower at Raiyakassa mesmerizes all.

Doob Road:

This is the perfect spot for wildlife viewing due to its strategic proximity to the water bodies. Herds of bison and deer are a common sighting when driving along this path, a few lucky times Leopards can be spotted too.
