Introduction
The Corbett national Park, nestled in the foothills of the mighty Himalayas,in the Uttaranchal district is extremely rich in bio-diversity and an immensely popular place to be for the nature and the wildlife lovers. Camp Forktail Creek, located in the clearing of the dense deciduous at the north eastern side of the Corbett Tiger Reserve is one ideal camping destination. Accommodation
There are a dozen luxurious safari tents at the Forktail Creek Camp, built on a raised wooden platform that gives the visitors the ultimate camping experience close to the wilderness. There are attached semi tiled bathrooms with each tent with running cold water. Hot water is served in buckets in the mornings and evenings .There is hardly any electricity used at Camp Forktail Creek. At nights, oil lit lanterns add to the mystifying atmosphere of Camp Forktail Creek, and enhancing its mystery. The visitors can combine their stay with stays at the forest rest houses around the Corbett National Park.
Dining
There is a specially designed dining and lounge area which is called the Thatch, built with grass and wood and lit up with oil lanterns at this wildlife camp in Corbett. This is an unique place, ideal for the environment of the jungle and perfect for the ultimate dining experience. The area around the Thatch is built for bar-b-cues and campfires after sundown.
